Friday Football Fun #2
To predict the outcome of this weeks games is going to be pretty hard considering most teams are facing almost equal opposition. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are quite a few draws this weekend… but seeing as I got it so wrong last week, this week couldn’t be any worse… could it?
The big game this weekend has to be the Merseyside Derby, Liverpool against Everton. I think Liverpool can just edge it as long as Everton’s Wayne Rooney and co aren’t on form and playing well.
I predict 2-1 or 3-2 to Liverpool… I’m not quite sure which scoreline I like best so I thought I’d offer both.
- Aston Villa 2 v 0 Leicester City
- Bolton Wanderers 2 v 2 Charlton Athletic
- Chelsea 3 v 1 Blackburn Rovers
- Everton 2 v 1 Liverpool
- Middlesbrough 1 v 0 Leeds United
- Newcastle United 3 v 1 Birmingham City
- Tottenham Hotspur 1 v 1 Fulham
- Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 v 1 Portsmouth
- Manchester City 1 v 3 Arsenal
- Southampton 1 v 3 Manchester United
I’d like to see your views and predictions on this weekends games, so feel free to chip in!
Also, I’ve had a few emails (well one actually) asking me why didn’t I do the midweek games. It’s purely because I don’t have the time… yet. ;-)

Hmm..I can see Bolten beating Charlton, Portsmouth beating Wolves and I reckon Chelsea and Blackburn could be a close game. Pretty much the same otherwise Kris.

I wouldn’t put money on my own team (Bolton) beating anyone at the moment. After a sterling first half performance against Man Utd on the first day of the season we seem to have forgotten how to play football.
I hope Chelsea really take it to Blackburn though… Blackburn are one of our bitter rivals. :)

Aston Villa 3-1 Leicester [Wrong]
Bolton 0-0 Charlton [Right Result, wrong scoreline]
Chelsea 2-2 Blackburn [Wrong]
Everton 0-3 Liverpool [Totally Wrong]
Newcastle 0-1 Birmingham [Wrong again]
Middlesbrough 2-3 Leeds [Wrong]
Tottenham 0-3 Fulham [Wrong]
Wolves 0-0 Portsmouth [Right Result, wrong scoreline]
Oh well, not a very good weekend for my predictions… ;-)
