Boost your iPod Volume
I got a 20GB 3rd Generation iPod for Christmas and was pleased with every aspect of my little white box… except the volume. European Standard (EN 50332-1) states that the maximum sound output be 100 dB. Now, personally, I have to have my volume almost maxxed out on my iPod when travelling on the bus, and it’s still too quiet in places and during some songs. So as you can imagine I’ve been looking for a solution to this problem for a while… not anymore.
euPOD VolumeBoost is a small tool that alters the iPod database so the output volume on the iPod gets higher. Since this tool doesn’t touch your music files, it is very fast and will update any iPod database in a couple of seconds.
This tool also works with all iPods, including US iPods. However, they should need less boost than EU iPods.
Download euPOD VolumeBoost Now, and if you find it useful please donate some money or beer to the author of this wonderful little program.

goPod - European iPod Volume Fix
A while ago I wrote about a tool I had used to increase the volume limit on my european iPod. Although it worked perfectly it required that I run the tool every time I automatically updated my iPod… not something I wanted to do indefinitely.
