Page 23

A little bird told me to…

  1. Grab the nearest book.
  2. Open the book to page 23.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

“My parents knew how much I loved football.”

Taken from My Side by David Beckham.

Number 23… how ironic. :)

Everyone else is doing it, so what have you got?

A9 - Amazon Search Engine

I wandered accross A9 today, and it seems Amazon is dipping it’s toes into the search engine business too, but with added “oomph” factor.

A9 adds to the search experience by integrating Amazon book listings into the searches. Adjustable columns allow you to view not only web search results, but also book results and search history. The “Site Info” and “Click History” that are also integrated into the search process are very impressive additions to the search experience.

The sign in process (for search/click history) is linked to your Amazon account, so no need for an extra username and password.

It’s no Google killer, but it’s definitely impressive!

Search results enhanced by Google. Results also provided by A9.com, Alexa, and Amazon.com.

The paragraph above can be found in the footer of the search results and just goes to show Google really does get everywhere. (via Todd)
