Thank **** this week is finally over with!

This week has been one of the busiest weeks all summer for me, its finally Friday and its not even finished!

It all started last Sunday, when we received a letter informing us that my Uncle had died after a sudden heart attack. 50 years old, no illnesses… and he’s gone. What the hell is all that about?

Anyway, Monday came along and I finished up some work for a client and sent it off to be approved… Monday evening it was approved and a day or two later approved by the client.

Tuesday morning and I’d started working on some PHP work for a different client… finished later that evening and went straight to football, scored a hat trick, came home and went to bed.

Wednesday morning, fixed a few ammends on some other PHP work, and headed straight for my uncles funeral. Later that afternoon I ventured into town for a chat with another client as he wanted to upgrade the shopping cart software that runs his online store. I agreed I’d start Wednesday evening and we’d try and get it done over night to minimise down time… big mistake.

Very late Wednesday/early Thursday I decide that the upgrade has more or less destroyed the templates, that there are bugs in the software and that I’m ready for my bed. Early Thursday morning I get a phone call asking for an update — I explain that it is going to take a lot longer. So we decide that I should go and work on-site with the client and work for as long as needed. 13 hours later we finally finish albeit for a few cosmetic bugs and I head home again.

Fridays here and its time to get ready to visit another client, pick up a few more jobs and then head off for a night of partying…

Saturday I’ll be back playing football… I can’t wait for Sunday to arrive!
