Barclays PremiershipAnother relatively quiet week on the Premiership football front, with no real transfer news other than Fadiga joining Bolton.

Some tasty fixtures again this week, with Arsenal taking on Bolton, Chelsea taking on local rivals Tottenham and Manchester United taking on Liverpool. After Bolton’s last few fixtures (a win vs Liverpool, draw vs Man United) I’m edging my bets at a draw. However, taking into consideration Arsenal’s run of form this is very unlikely, but you should never bet against your own team. :)

Saturday’s Games
Arsenal 2 v 2 Bolton
Birmingham 2 v 1 Charlton
Blackburn 2 v 1 Portsmouth
Crystal Palace 1 v 2 Man City
Norwich 1 v 3 Aston Villa
West Brom 1 v 2 Fulham
Sunday’s Games
Southampton 1 v 3 Newcastle
Everton 1 v 1 Middlesbrough
Chelsea 3 v 1 Tottenham
Monday’s Games
Man Utd 2 v 1 Liverpool

  1. A draw against the Arsenal? [sucks air between teeth]

You missed the other big transfer news. Newcastle signed Ronny Johnsen until January. Our illustrious leader made no secret of the fact that he wanted to sign him.

Y’know…Ronny Johnsen…that household name? A decent second choice seeing as we didn’t land that charmer of ladies (of the night) Rooney…dontcha think? Come on! You must know him, was in the Man U squad a couple of years ago? Okay so nobody has actually paid any money for him since then, but Souness is a frugal Scot! Freddy Shepherd will be lovin it! :)

(My sarcasm reserves aren’t going to last the season y’know..)

  3. Oh jayzuz, please don’t say that because I’m hoping Souness and the team won’t give me reason! I mean how sarcastic can I be if we’re blazing a trail up the table and through Europe? :D

Sarcasm reserves may be finite…but hope is everlasting ;)

  5. Here’s my attempt

    Saturday’s Games

    Arsenal 2 v 3 Bolton
(Bolton will end the gunners unbeaten run)
    Birmingham 3 v 1 Charlton
(Can’t see anything here for Charlton)
    Blackburn 1 v 3 Portsmouth
(Pompey on form, B’Burn will struggle)
    Crystal Palace 1 v 0 Man City
(City have low morale, Palace need a win)
    Norwich 0 v 2 Aston Villa
(Can’t see Norwich putting anything past Villa)
    West Brom 1 v 1 Fulham
(Megson fell out this week, they won’t win)

    Sunday’s Games

    Southampton 1 v 3 Newcastle
(Newcastle will win this, but it will be short lived under Souness)
    Everton 1 v 1 Middlesbrough
(Everton are no mugs at home, Boro will struggle to win)
    Chelsea 2 v 1 Tottenham
(Chelsea will win easily, Spurs have nothing to compete with)

    Monday’s Games

    Man Utd 3 v 2 Liverpool
(Utd will scrape a win, but Liverpool will make them for it)

  7. You know, I had a funny feeling about the Arsenal – Bolton game today, that’s why I didn’t say anything beforehand. You should have won it too, we were very poor (bring back Sol!).
