Nice job! Has your general happiness level increased since then? :P

Not sure whether my happiness level has increased… but my fitness and financial status certainly has. :)

Congrats! Keep it up so that I can point to my relatives and say, “It can be done!”

Thanks Randy.
It definitely can be done… and once you understand that you only really need the nicotine in cigarettes for 2 days after… and that the rest is just habit… it’s easy!
Good luck in convincing them. :)

Habit is hard to break though! Argh, darn habits.

Congrats mate! Definitely not an easy feat and don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Even though you’ve been quit this long, don’t let you guard down. I’ve been quit for about 2.5 years and there are still times when I consider driving to the store to pick up a pack.

Habit was easy to overcome - Grab a copy of “Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Stop Smoking” - You can smoke as you read… in fact you are urged to smoke while you read it.
Thanks Jeff, I still think about smoking every now and again… but a quick deep breath (while I remember why I quit) normally does the trick.

Congratulations! Now you’ll be able to go into all those pubs that are about to ban smoking! :)
Seriously, nice one mate. Some of my friends have tried to give up several times and haven’t quite managed it.
